Yin yoga is a slow paced style of yoga, asanas (poses) are held for longer periods (2-5mins) and the poses mainly focus on the hips, spine or shoulders. The muscles are relaxed and not activated (no stretching) and your breathing is calm allowing your mind to quiet, yin yoga can be seen as a meditative style of yoga practice.
Our yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues, its main aim is to increase circulation in the joints and improve flexibility. Yin yoga works with the energy in our bodies and the asanas help to move the energy flow improving organ health and emotional well being.
